Its a vortect tpi system that bolts to out standard small block chevy.

Its a vortex manifold with holes that I drilled for the injecctors.
Next there was the stock TB for the vortex that I modedfor the manifold.
This vortex intake is the one of a truck that you can get for dirt cheap in a JY.
The throttle body is a stock vortec tb I pulled the injector housing off. I just mounted the body to the intake.
Really easy to do and this should flow alot better then any miniram or Stealram.

 

That has nothing to do with Tuned Port Injection...

Isnt that DFI ? or something aftermarket by accel ?

ITs a gm TPI that made the car go from 13;'s with stock tpi to 11 with the vortex intake

Everything here was made by gm.

I fabbed it all, and
I did the hole thing for under 150 dollars.

THose dam fuel rail fittings cost the most!

Did I miss something? That sure looks like a bbk throttle body. 'vortec' throttle bodies are single blade. Thats not even a vortec manifold.

 

I'm withe biggtime here. There's nothing there thats GM. That is not a "vortex" intake, or a "vortect" intake. In fact, I can see the WEIAND logo cast into it right under the fuel pressure regualtor. That's also not a GM throttle body, nor are those GM fuel rails. AND THAT"S NOT EVEN AN F BODY, IT"S A C4 CORVETTE. What the f are you trying to pull here fast 86????

 

This is in no way TPI, at all. It's a carb manifold converted to EFI.

This is where all of Vaders pics are and this is where Vader always links his pics to, I am almost 100% sure this is Vaders site. Just look around on it and you will find many pdf’s that say made by Vader in them. Why would you take something off Vaders site and say you made it, that’s stupid.

What makes me angry is someone that doesn't know any better will believe him and might try to duplicate what he wrote. Then the guy ends up buying a buch of worthless parts that he can do nothing with. Novices tend to believe you can do things 'cheap' and then become frustrated when it doesn't work, this does nothing for our *sport*

 

What I REALLY dont understand is how CRAP posts like this stay up, yet the original (and most comprehensive) post in the Suspension/Chassis/Brakes forum about the C5 Brake swap got DELETED, not locked a few months ago....

 

Yeah. I agree. Not all mods are the same, and some of them do stupid stuff. There may have been some crap in there, but there was a LOT of important information that's gone now.
