I need fuel Injector retainer clips
Im in need of fuel injector retainer clips. Please tell me that I won't be forced to pay $9 for each clip. Thats (dealership) robbery. Does someone else have a better source for these?

Not for nothing but i got into finding these clips. And the simplest thing i found was making my own with the right wire. Believe it or not the design for the clips are pretty simple to make.

What do you need them for? You can go without them, assuming everything is bolted down properly and the injectors are lubed on the rings and snapped firmly into place.

Well Jamesbob02,
You are correct in your comment, "assuming everything is bolted down properly". However, I am sure that you are as aware of what "assuming" can do as I am. Personnally, I have a rather strong dislike for this Murphy fellow and that strange law of his, you know the one. "If something can go wrong, it will". I think that I would much rather be safer than sorrier.

Let me rephrase that. KNOWING everything is bolted down properly, there should be no problems. The retainers do jack **** when the bolts are in tight and the injectors are placed correctly. There should not have to be any ASSumptions that this is done right; if you can't accomplish it, you shouldn't be working on your car because you are a hazard to yourself and people around you.
I don't like him either, but even Murphy would agree to that.

My choices are Napa, Auto Zone, Oreilly and Advance. Does anyone have any part numbers for these clips from these stores? I can't find anything on their web sites.

Re: I need fuel Injector retainer clips
it also depends on what kind of injectors you have if you need the clips or not b/c my venom injectors wouldnt work w/o the clips
