Here's a good start to finding out... what're the part numbers on the top of the cannisters? The part number on my '87 Formula cannister is 17087213KL. Is that the same as yours? If so, then it'll probably work. If not, then I dunno, lol.

These message boards have been suckingly slow with my posts for the last couple of days! And if it posts them, it's saying it hasn't, and it doesn't move the thread to the top of the list and show that I've posted! What's up with that?

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
I would think that if they both had the same number and size of plugs on them, they should work. The clips on the bottom for mounting it can be repositioned if needed.

The number is right on the flat top of the cannister.

it's there to trap gas vapors or fumes from the tank and burn them off (emissions crap) but it also helps you from getting high off the fumes which is why I want it. It doesn't hurt performance like an air pump does so I want to leave it. It's not cool to have your car smell like gas everywhere you park lol.

yeah i was reading my hanes manual to figure out what it does... and since i read it i came to realize that the hoses were all cracked and the damn thing probably didn't work right and thats why i was probably running really rich cuz, bro, the gas smell comming from my car was just out of hand. ill either replace it, or take it out and drive with the windows up and a face mask, lol
