Throttle sticks / backfire at intake

I have a 86 TPI system with a painless wiring harness.Everything has been bead blasted prior to assembly last summer. It's clean!

The problem I am having is the throttle sticks only when the engine is running.Almost like the butterflies are being pulled by vaccuum. With the engine off it is super smooth. No sticking.Remember this thing is spotless.I replaced the IAC today and still have the same problem.I ran the engine with the TPS detached from the TB and it still sticks.

Problem #2 is it runs fine in park.idle to wot all day no problems.I put it in gear and get in the gas then it bogs and backfires throgh the intake and I have to feather the pedal to keep it going.

PLEASE help as I am going CRAZY! This is my baby and I'm imbarassed to take it out.

As far as the sticking is concerened make sure that the throttle shaft bushings do not have any slop in them. The pop and bang from the intake is probably a timing(too retarded) or fuel issue(too lean). If I were you I would seriously get into prom burning if the engine is not a factory spec engine.

What trans are you running? 700? If so, what happens if you disconnect the TV cable from the trans?

As far as the backfiring, it'd be good to know what kind of setup you're running- cam, heads, exhaust? If your engine is way off from an L98, you may have throttle-tip-in lean problems and will need some tuning. Like maiors2 said, it would pay to start learning how to tune.
