What new cam for my car? going for it 1 more time

Ok, Im going to do this one more time. I just did it with the LT1 cam and that just wasnt enough and it moved my power up to far in the RPM's...I want power down low and mid range cause thats all our cars have..
When I do this for the last time I may pull the heads off and have them ported but Im not sure I will do that...but if I do or I dont what is the best cam that I can run in my little 305 that will give me the max power output? You can read my mods in my sig and help me pick one. This will be the last time doing a cam swap and I want to make it worth it. I thought the LT1 was going to be good but from what Ive read it was not designed for a TPI engine and thats why there is not such a big power gain. Live and learn I guess. OFF the line there is not power with the LT1 and its like the car bogs for a split second and then picks up power but really doesnt start pulling till I get to 3000 or so.

What CAM? MOST POWER! I'll drop back down to 1.5 rockers if that will make it better. I dont know what my max lift is on the stcok 081's but I do have 510 springs in them....if that helps?

thanks!

I don't really think its the cam thats causing the loss in low end, the LT1 cam is pretty small. I don't think any of them were much bigger than the L98 cam. Mabee try a couple more degrees timing down low like less than 2500 rpm in the chip. I would also drop your fuel pressure back to where you got your best dyno pull at.
