Anything to be gained w/AFPR on stock 305 tpi
Anything to be gained by putting an adjustable regulator on a stock 305? Several publications talk about 15-20 hp gains simply by going from 40 psi to 46-48psi. But I've also read/heard where people end up running there best times with the pressure dialed right back to the factory setting (40psi?) ???
Also, will this shorten the life of the injectors or fuel pump?
Lastly, can the factory fuel pump handle the increased volume?

I think the only gains from it would be gained if you are currently running lean.
