Just like the subject says guys. What ignition and plug gaps are you running? I am trying to decide what mine should be with my MSD ignition, wires and coil. What are you guys doing?

You should use the plug size that your heads manufacturer recomends. My aluminum heads came with a champion spark plug number that I have been using ever since of coarse they can be cross referenced to what ever brand you prefer.
You can use a larger gap than factory with out any problems considereing that you are using an after market ignition considering your spark is going to be significantly stronger you will have no problems making the jump I would go at least .045 I have seen msd's spark jump over 6 inches ...

How did you come to the .50 gap. Did you do a test and tune with smaller gaps first and found the .50 to be the best??

No, after doing the research thats what I setteld on.
You gotta have aftermarket ignition parts though to push a gap that big.
I think MSD has a write up or something floating around about gap also.

Yeah, Jacobs does too. They give you a sheet that basically says if you have this....go to this. Then use that as a starting point for adjustments. Kinda cool.
