Cam help::Advice?
Trying to determine a good cam for this setup
The Inake: Ported and either SLP or Accel runners will be used. I am using a bigmouth manifold.
The Heads: Ported, flow 243/190 @.500 and 246/200 @ .650.
The Drivetrain: Stock L98, 700R4, 3.45 gears (if I can find some).
Here is the question.
According to my research and what the flow chart said, I made some calculations that are attached below. As you can see the flow is good percentage across the band, and I think would like a close to single pattern cam. What are my cam options? I originally wanted to run the 276HR-12 cam from Comp Cams, but according to the rpm band, I should use the 219/219?
Are there any other options, or would this be the best one. I don't mind a wild idle, and I don't mind a sleeper cam either.
Thanks (sorry for the long post, it's just easier when you have all the info

the LT4 hotcam, seems to be a popular one lately, and even though you still have a LTR intake which should flow what your heads can, it should be good one.
I would atleast use a vette converter with either cam...

I ran a 218/229 – 110 cam with a similar set up with similar head flow using a fully ported GM base intake and SLP runners with the dividers ground down to the halfway point. The cam was a custom grind for a carbed combination, but worked well enough that I couldn’t get the thing to hook with the stock suspension and 26x11.5 ET Streets. The car ran similar ETs whether I shifted at 5300 or 5700 rpm. Based on how it ran, I would say the HOT cam already suggested might not be a bad choice, but I think I would go with something like the Comp Extreme energy 224/230- 112 cam. That cam should idle similar to mine (700 rpm) but roll off a little low-end power (that was hard to hook anyway) and add 200 – 300 more useable RPM.

Thanks guys, I'll call Comp to see if they have something between the two. I think that would be the best. The HotCam seems to be out of the power range for an LTR setup, might be wrong, but I think it would prefer the LT1/4 intakes.
