Stealth vs Mini vs. Super Ram
I'm going to build a 383 for street and daily driver use, and plan on keeping it as a TPI car. I know that the stock unit will be way too little for a 383, heck, the intake system was designed for just the 305! I also looked at Edelbrock's intake manifold and runners, they looked pretty good. The car will be N/A, no power-adders and I want full emissions trim to stay on the car, as well as my AC - it gets mighty hot and humitd here in Hawaii. Anyone with experience with aftermarket TPI stuff feel free to chime in on what would work best for good strong low-end power, good mid-range and doens't die until long after 5500 RPMs...?

I will tell you what I had done to my 350 TPI. Port the plenum. I cleaned up the intake behind the throttle body. Siamesed the ports to match my SLP runners.
I used the Edelbrock TPI intake and had it extrude honed. This good for around 275 CFM per runner. I understand that Arizona Speed and Marine has siamese runners. If so get them. If not get the SLP runners and siamese them at both the top and bottom. If you can siamese the SLP's the whole length do so.
I have the early style SLP runners that are fully siamesed on one set of runners and siamesed at the top on the other set. I finished of the other runner by also siamesing the bottom end of the runner. Port match everything. It may not hurt to buy a 52MM throttle body.
I think your engine would work quite well with the Hot Cam or maybe the Comp Cams XE269HR. Good luck with your project. Allen

My opinion on this is for what a set of Runners Cost you Could Buy a Holley Stealth Ram Intake, or Do what some are doing and buy a single plane Carb intake Weld injector bungs in and adapt some stuff and You would be happier With it than Modifying A LTR set Up and Have just a little more $ in it. also I you have a single plane carb intake that will work in the RPM Range you want There are companies you can send it to that will set up the injector bungs and fuel rails, but it is a little more money. like here http://force-efi.com/

As BOTTLEDZr28 said, search, but if you want full emissions compliance, your options are either modified LTR setup or the Superram.

Seems like the SuperRam is the setup that will fit your application best.

Thanks for the inputs, and yes, I did search around for awhile before starting the post. Maybe in a few years there will be another aftermarket TPI alternative. Until then, I'm leaning for the SuperRam.

I looked these part numbers up today in my edelbrock catalog. If your thinking of a EFI carb intake, this would be the setup. It might be more $$ than making it yourself, but probably worth it if you don't have a TIG laying around. Notice you'd still need an adapter/elbow (or plenum box
) for your stock throttlebody or a 4 barrel throttle body, as well as fuel lines and a fuel pressure regulator. Former member Ski_dwn_it seemed to be having fairly good success with a convertered victor jr. He was getting very similar tq #'s and more hp than his super ram setup.
#29785 Victor "E" EFI 4500-8500 RPM
at summit $306
#3630 Fuel Rails for 29785 $79.
