ok did a search and found conflicting info. I am putting in ls1 injectors but of course they are a shorter injector. do I have to grind down the fuel rail supports on the manifold to make them fit correctly? I installed them and they are pushed in as far as they can go in the manifold. the O-rings in the fuel rail are just slightly visable on the bottom of the fuel rail. without bolts they hold the into the rails if you don't tug on them too hard. here are some of the best pics I could get at it. tell me what you think. I really would like to avoid a leak and a big fire.

On my LS1 injectors I never ground off the fuel rail supports. I also had my injectors up just a bit higher into my fuel rail so that you can't see the bottom of the o-ring. Never had any problems or missed a beat since doing it last spring. The extra 1/8 inch I have mine tucked up into the rail does not affect the plume from the injector as it fires. No fuel drip just a nice pattern. Maybe just tuck your injectors up a bit to play it safe. Would hate to see you push any fuel past the rail and onto a header, ect.
