Size of FPR screws?.....
Anyone know the size of the torx screws that hold the FPR cover inplace? I stripped the head of one today and want to replace it, preferably with some stainless allen head screws if possible.
I hit my local OSH and nothing seemed to match. These seem to be some one-off size.

I don't think he is referring to the torx bit size to loosen them, but the size of the bolt itself. I have a messed up thread on one of the fuel pressure regulator holes and was looking for a tap to clean the threads yesterday. Closest size I could find was I believe 6-32, but the threads are finer on these bolts than the 6-32. I looked through boltdepot.com, as they have alot of stainless allen bolts, but I couldn't find any other size. Please let me know if you find out anything, I could really use the help as well. I'm only wondering how hard it will be to find a tap in that size when I can't even find the bolt size.

In metric, M3 was to small in diameter and the thread pitch was too fine. M5/.08 had too course of a thread pitch. I ordered some M4/.07 pitch screws to see if these are a match. If they work I'll post the results.

FPR Screw - 3.5mm x 12mm .6 thread pitch
Just went thru this myself last week.
The screws are 3.5mm by 12mm, .6 thread pitch.
I found my replacements in a local hobby shop, in the remote control airplane, boat, and car section.
They were 20mm long, but I just cut them to length with a Dremel cut-off wheel. They also had a socket head (allen wrench). Much better than the torx.
They were made by DuBro.
Their home page:

On-line Catalog page with these screws:

Hope this helps,
David
