More Horsepower?
I was wondering what is the best way to get more horsepower from an 87 305 tpi motor. I have already had head work done, headers, port and polished. What else can be done?

Agreed. Intake, cam, and tune.
You could go all new intake or port and get runners for the current TPI. Would be very beneficial to match to your current heads.

My opinion, and hopefully some more will chime in...
The cam is not large and the gears are not too big, so I would stick with larger runners, larger base, and ported plenum. If that is not enough in the end add a power adder for more power and a little more help in the higher RPM range.
Either that or do the superram for a little more rpm range, but I don't think it would cost effective for you considering it likes single pattern cams.
