tps voltage question
tps voltage question
i am looking for some advice concerning the tps. when adjusting and the tps at closed throttle is 0.54 and then watching for any fluctuations in voltage going to wot i cannot get this tps beyond 3.89 v's. i have adjusted the tv cable and even replaced the sensor itself with no avail. my 350 tpi has incredible throttle response and runs like a gem, but i am wondering what am i missing to get this tps above 3.89. can i tweak the voltage above 0.54 to get above 3.8 thanks tim
after taking off the intake tube on the TB, do the throttle blades open all the way when you put the pedal to the floor? you can also verify if the ecm recognizes 3.89V as WOT by checking that it switches to open loop using a aldl datalogger.
thanx for the reply
i have done everything i possibly think of and ran the voltage at the ecm terminal itself with a friend adjusting the throttle body and the ecm is seeing dead on what i saw at the tps. as far as jumping the adl with wot throttle for open loop mode i need more info from you on that because i am not aware of this procedure but please do so i have only been with tpis a little over a year and a half. the only procedure close to your comment i have heard of and is documented within how to tune and modify you chevy efi is to jump the adl during engine running mode to observe for rich/lean running of the engine. thanks tim
