1.) https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=251855

3.) You normally want to match up the converter with the camshaft used, gears, transmission, induction, etc... That's why when you order expensive converters (like ACT or PI) they ask for all that stuff. I have a 2400 ACT stall and it's very streetable... few guys I've read about in posts say 3200+ isn't bad either.

Also depends if you get the lockup or nonlockup kind I'm guessing too... either way you'll lose a little MPG from the extra slip, nothing to worry about though.

I'm gonna be looking for a new engine in the near future so I'm looking for a good platform. Also I check the stock 1/4 mile times in these car and saw they were pretty fast...mid 13s. Anyone have any idea what engines these cars have also what trannys....I noticed that even the late 80's corvette has a 6sp manual

oh yeah I've got a race with my friend against his turbo supra it runs low 15s all stock what times can I expect my stock car to run?

Try these links. Some times seem to be very off though:

They've got you at 15.9, which I don't think is accurate. I think you should be in the low 15s-high 14s or better---if your ride is running right.

Yeah, GMpartsdirect.com jacks up the shipping but in most cases I can still get the parts I need through them cheaper than the going to the Dealership. Only downsight to GMpartsdirect is they do have a wide shipping range. At times a part may take 4 days to get to your door other times it can take 2 weeks depending on which place has the part.

You could always try on ebay... course I see the pulleys selling on there 45 to 65 bucks + shipping for the ac delete (for some reason people are still buying them).

First firehawk was in 91. I think there was 6. They used a traditional Chevy small block/350. It was modified a bit, and had the T-Ram TPI manifold. They used a ZF6 speed tranny, same as the ZR1.

wtf I thought parts were cheap for these cars?! $100 for 2 oem pulleys....
They are, as long as you don't buy from GM. Those pullies only come from GM.

That search might not net any results except for this thread. You may want to search for "FIREHAWK"

'89 ZR-1.....Was not sold to the public. Gm made a number of '89 ZR-1's but they where meant as press fleet evaluation cars.

'90 ZR-1.....Had a 5.7L 32 valve, 16 injector, variable intake runner length V8. It shared the same bore spacing as the standard SBC but that was it. It was engineered by Lotus/GM and was built by Mercury Marine. They sound like the devil's sewing machine when wound out. My favorite car of all time. Long live the king:hail:

'90 Formula Firehawk....I'm pretty sure that the Firehawk didn't recieve an RPO until the '92 model year. I know SLP built a pilot car in '90 or '91. I catually have an old Hot Rod article about it.
