distributor gear

distributor gear

Just did something stupid.Pulled the distributor gear to adjust end play without marking it.The gear will go on either way.The wrong way will be one half tooth off.How can I find which is correct?

Its all relative. Just stick it all back together, set the timing, and be done with it.

the side with the indent points the same way as the rotor.
