i have a strange problem, here is the short version

when in any gear and low RPM, the car shudders bad, everything vibrates and the engine makes a blub blub blub kind of like a car with a heavy lobe cam.

as RPMS pick up its less and less noticeable.. cruzing is less noticeable as well.

problem #1 i have lost power, i nail it, no kick at all.. it accelerates but less power.

on a side note, there are no codes, timing is OK, all plugs are ok. fuel pressure is OK, injectors are OK, all vacuum lines are connected and no vacuum leaks are found.

no for a long time now the car has been running very rich due to bad injectors,.. can i have a clogged cat on my hands?

i would think if it was the cat it would slowly be getting worse the more you drive it up to the point where it will just crawl down the road plus you some times get a stinky bad egg smell

 

Make sure all cylinders are firing as well, may have a plug/wire shorting out, compression problem in one cylinder, etc.

 

we found the problem on saturday.

we pulled the #1 plug and it was wet, so it wasnt firing. checked the plug wire with the multi meter, checked out OK. changed the plug to a new one.. still nothing..

so just for kicks we changed the plug wire.. VRRROOMMM!!! all 8 cylinders are back!!.. pulled the original wire out,(Borge Warner 8.5 silicone) and it had a huge crack in it where no one could see.

car is back to normal.
