I don't know about easy but it is time consumming. You start with like a 60 grit and work your way to a 1500 grit. If you put some time it will take you one day for the plenum and one day each for the runners.

To get the mirror finish it takes a lot of patience.
Her are two shots of mine when I did them:

And the engine as finished:

It is worth spending the extra time doing it if you want the engine to shine.

Here is the Tech Article showing one of many ways of doing it: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...umpolish.shtml

The runners are a big PITA if you ask me. It took me as long to do one side of the runners as it did for the whole plenum.
The surface of the runners is not as rough as the plenum so you can start say with like a 400 grit or even 600 grit. To sand in between the tubes I cut the sand paper in like 1" strips long wise on the sheet. Then put duct tape on the back side of the sandpaper strip to reinforce it, otherwise they will tear very easily. Then secure the runner to a vise or between the legs and use both hands on the ends of the strips to go back and forth like if you were polishing shoes. To polish with aluminum polish use 1" strips of terry cloth and buff the same way as with the sandpaper.

I also used my Mouse sander and the Dremel with polishing wheels for everything I could reach.

Hope that helps,

-Ozzy
