Tuned by TPS and throttle body is slack???
well I got it to EXACTLY .540, I slowly pushed it to WOT and back closed, voltage read 1.35......I adjusted it AGAIN, and it did the same thing....
Then I saw the problem, the little golden probe that connects with the sensor is slack and stops at 1.35, I thought maybe it would automatically return upon start up but this is not the case and stuck at 1.37 after I got down on it and pulled over on the road.
My throttle response midrange is greatly improved as in my top end powerband (I had it set at like 2.55 volts and it was revving too high and wouldn't go past 4k rpm) and now it works like a charm, but I am still having some off problems after I let off the throttle at say 20mph in a residential neighborhood to keep the noise down the rpm go from 1100rpm (My idle) down to 500, headlights dim car almost dies then comes to life again.
I'm sure it has to do with this slack I have, but I don't know what I need to do to replace it? The whole throttle body or just the little shiny piece that connects with the sensor?
Thanks in advance guys, you are a big help to my rodding and have not steered me wrong yet

:hail: The TPS includes the spring loaded lever that contcts the arm on the throttle shaft. You need to determine if the arm is loose on the throttle shaft, the throttle shaft or throttle blades are binding in the TB, or if the TPS lever is not returning against the throttle shaft arm. If the TPS is not returning, simply replace the TPS. If the throttle shaft is binding, it's tiem to work on the throtle body. If the arm on the end of the throttle shaft is loose, you still need to work on the throttle body, but may only have to stake or tack weld the arm back to the throttle shaft. ]
Which one is it?

It is not a brand new sensor, I got it off one that was running before I pulled it. Yes you read right the TPS is working fine, it is the arm that pushes against the TPS that is not work

What year car did the TPS come out of? There were 2 different designs, and the lever is the difference between them. If you have the wrong design TPS that could cause the problems you're having.

It is confusing, basically I bought a 350 with accel digital fuel injection from a gentle men for $2000 and it had the sensor I got it out of tune when I installed the motor, the sensor is NOT bad, it is good.
So to clarify, this is an Accel throttle body, NOT a Rochester throttle body?
And further, the lever arm on the throttle body is not returning or moving with the throttle shaft?
That sounds like a real problem.
