Engine light, no Code

Im getting an engine light on my car and yet i get no code, ever sensor on the car is new and iv replaced the MAT again because a code said it was bad and now thats fine, but the car has 87 TPI electronics. im starting to think it has something to do with the custom chip john M did for me, it starts hard and im not sure if the timing is off but if i step on it once in a while in neutral itll pop out the intake, thats what makes me think it has something to do with the chip. but if anyone has any info on what could possibly be the problem, the car wont idle on its own until it gets up to temp then itll barely stay running.

Datalogs are about the only thing that can be used to really diagnose a custom chip. Rich/Lean, spark, etc., all show in the logs.

As for the check engine light, it could be the customizing in the chip. For example: A WB O2 sensor hack steals that memory location and causes the light to come on. Don't know if yours has that hack or not. You really need to be talking to whoever did your chip about that.

Sorry I couldn't be more help..... but at least I didn't say "DO A SEARCH"

There is also the possibility of it being in limp home mode. Does the fan run all the time(if equipped with ECM controlled fan).

Without seeing the chip myself, there's no way I can answer that as I'm sure you know. Good luck, hope he keeps helping you out on that chip!

Not if you ran a 12.68 with it!!! It would have to be a lot closer to what you really need than that! Just my opinion anyway...
