Running rough
The car is a 305 TPI. Here is the problem I am having. When I first start the car the car idles at about 1100 RPM then surges up to about 2000 RPM. When I drive it, it runs really rough and If i drive it for any longer than a couple mins it will start to lose power and then bog down if I give it gas then pick up a little bit when I let off. It will then stall out. The Idle Air control has recently been replaced. I could really use some ideas on what this could be. The heater hose was leaking and it leaked down onto the sensor below I believe that is the CTS im not sure. Thanks alot for any help you can give me.

A faulty CST can prevent the engine from achieving its normal idle.
Similar to a *surging motion*.
The RPMs (escalate & fall) due to the engines' own inability to detect the signal from the CST.
Without a signal, it can't calibrate itself, so, it continously searches in the meantime.
Dunno if that helps, but, I just thought I would toss that out there.
Not really too sure on the other stuff you described tho (bout the bogging down).
How long have you had the car? When did it start acting like this?

Ive had it a year, just started doing this. It doesnt just run rough it wont run at all after awhile. It stalls out then it will start back up and run real rough and doesnt have any power at all I cant go over like 30 mph. after driving for awhile it stalls again and i have to keep starting it back up

Hrm.
I'm assuming you've already looked under the hood and made sure no wires were unplugged/melted, that there's no smoke coming from engine/exhaust.
So, other then the running rough, it would otherwise appear to be initially turning-over and cranking ok?
Do you have an ALDL tester module (to read any codes being given off)?
They're not expensive at all, any auto parts store, and they're real nice to have.
Please clarify *after a while* because I'm not sure how much time is lapsing in-between and separating the subsequent appearances of the symptoms you just described.
Not tryin to be difficult, man.
Just tryin' to help.

Just out of curiousity, when your IAC was replaced, did they perform the adjustment procedure as outlined here:

Possible fuel pressure/filter?

I replaced the IAC myself and yes I did reset the idle afterwards. Fuel filter was replaced not long ago. And the pressure was also checked not long ago. Im hoping its not a head gasket or anything serious. Buti f thats a case Ill just swap in a good 350 TPI
