Tpi Boggs
Great site guys, new guy here.
Ive been reading for a while. I used to post in another iroc site that doesnt seem to work anymore.
Well my problem stand with my TPI engine. I replaced the MAF and the relays for it. It was giving me code 35 or 45 dont remember. Good thing the previous owner had a lifetime replacement for the MAF, got it free with reciept.
My cars stalls in the mornings real bad, i have to drive several miles to school. As i accelarate it shifts then sometime holds the RPMs to much before shfting. And boy does it smell like rotten eggs inside the car. As i accelrate the car gives rpm then lets go as if i let go of the gas pedal.
Also sometime with the car on at WOT the car rpms barely go to like 3000 and stalls out. Im ruuning out of options.
Ive disconected the MAF and the car runs the same no diffrence dunno if the MAF is active, relays click on.
Thanks
Guys hope you all can help.

Sounds like your catalytic convertor might be compromised. I only say that because of the "rotten egg" smell you mentioned. Could be a host of other things too.

No, Cat new pump giving about 45 to 50 psi. Walbro pump.
Im thinking TPS, but what are the symptoms of a bad TPS?
Im seroiusly thinking going carb, im a carb sports car guy.
My 69 Camaro is running a 406 on a demon 750 hitting about 450hp forged internals. Very expensive
Im thinking a 383 with a 650 dp for this one (iroc) but funds are low right now.
But i still have hope for this TPI
Please help guys.............

If you want to check the consistancy of the TPS use your volt meter or scan tool to check the volts. You should be .54 or whatever you have it set to. Then move the throttle open with your hand slowly. You should see the numbers go up smoothly until you hit 4.5 or so. If you see the numbers skip sections then TPS is shot or if you can't reach 4 or so, it needs to be adjusted.
