too much air? super ram q's.

I have a zz4 crate motor.

going with a hotcam and 1:6 rollers/big mouth and superram runners/box-lid. 52mm tb. ford "red" 22 lb. (ford rated) injectors. inline 255 walburo pump. afpr.

went from a big mouth intake/slp runners/mod plennum/22lb multec inj.

so basically, i was reaching a quick ceiling of 5500 rpm. will i lose much if any torque going to the hotcam and super ram upper?

looking to break the 5500 ceiling. was thinking the new cam would give torque where the new intake would raise the rpm ceiling.

Not enough data to make an informed conclusion.

Did Ford change their flow rating/colors? I thought the red colored injectors were 30#.

Probably not. When I highly modded my TPI and shortend the runners to only the length of the intake manifold I picked up torque and horsepower across the rpm band.

As far as breaking the 5500 barrier is that on the dyno graph for peak hosepower? Also what was your old cam specs? Need that info for a guess. Allen

i am guessing your going from zz4 cam to hot cam?

if so i think its very possible you can spin it up to 5500rpms and alittle past

Thanks for some input.

yes, I am going from the stock zz4 cam to the hotcam.

since the ram intake is 800.00, I wonder if it will achieve my need to rise above 5500 rpm and into the 6000 rpm area.

the cam will I'm sure, but how restrictive is my intake now? maybe i can keep my intake (big mouth ported alittle, slp runners ported alittle/stock plennum ported to match as well.

oh yeah, the injectors are actually pink tops from 5.0 motorsports.
