JET Performance underdrive pulleys for LB9

Hello all,

I just read in Camaro Performers magazine that with a JET Performance underdrive pulleys, they have seen gain of 17HP and 13-lb-ft of torque at the wheels. That seem pretty impresive to me.... Is is true? I have a 88 GTA with a 305 TPI and automatic transmission completely stock.

-Will it give me the numbers they say if I put these?
-Will I gain HP and torque at every RPM range?
-Do you think JET Performance kit is the best for my car?

I also wan't to put in a new cam for my LB9. 206- to 218-degree intake, 212- to 226-degree exhaust duration, 0.480- to 0.520-inch lift, and a 112 LSA. What would be the price brand and model with these specifications. And what can I expect with this mod?

Thanks!

It's hard to say dude. It's like flowmaster always quotes power #'s, like their system made x amount of hp on a 396 truck motor. But who knows whats done to the car. All it might have needed was a better flowing exhaust to unlock some lost hp. They might have had a car that was ready for an underdrive setup. I would think if it really netted that big a gain, that more people would have done it. 17hp is not bad for a simple bolt on. And to the wheels no less. I think the only other bolt on you're gonna get a gain like that from is headers. FWIW, let us know if you go ahead with this. i wanna put some shiny pullies on my ride one day, when I get it all cleaned up under there.

based on those cam specs, it looks like you want an LT4 hotcam, or similar. Peppy little cam, but you are gonna need a decent tune to get what you want out of it. Also look into some heads that can handle the increased lift.
