has a stock cam and, no tuning and yes 3.73s

i would look into getting the ignition all straightened up and make sure the timing and stuff are all correct.

then look into tunning for those 24lb injectors and runners... i think your better off with the stocker 22 lb injectors and run abit more PSI of fuel from a adjustable regulator. with just runners and nothing much else, it shouldnt be running that slow and have much problems. i think the injectors could be a problem right now.

how old is the 355 bottom end? all the cylinders in good condition? compression test/leakdown test it?

i shift mine at 4500-4800rpms sometimes.... but i try to concentrate on 4500-4600rpms. peak power in the L98's is at 4400-4500rpms

that ticking noise....does it come from around the headers? could be a loose bolt and cause an exhaust leak
