Stealth Ram 383 Cam help
I need the power of TGO to help me choose the correct cam for my 383 project.
Car is my '87 IROC, T-Top, T5, 3.42 9 bolt rear, 285/55/17 rear tire.
I am in the process of building a 383, should be around 9.5-10 CR, Corvette L98 #113 aluminum heads, Holley Stealth Ram, 58mm BBK TB.
I have a Crane Powermax / Compucam 2032, but the stats are .452/.465 112LSA and I think it will be too small for what I am looking for.
Basically I want it to pull all the way to 6500 RPM and really take advantage of the intake I have here.
I was thinking of the Comp Cams 306, a.k.a. the 290HR-12, stats for that are .510/.540 112LSA
I also want to run 1.6 roller rockers, would those help? Or would the stockers be ok?
Any other recommendations? ZZ4? ZZ9? LT4 HOT?
Anyone have a similar combo?
Also as far as injectors, I am thinking of going to either 24# LT1 or 30#. Which should I do?
Thanks in advance, I am trying to get everything together for a killer new setup.

I'm running a little over 10:1 comp. w/ the comp cams 306 in my 355. It'll purr like a kitten in a 383. You're posting up lift numbers instead of dur. #'s. The durration is more important IMO than the lift. Have you had you're heads flowed or ported at all? How much power are you looking to put down or what ET are you shooting for?
If I had stroked my motor, I would've went w/ a bigger cam.

Here's what I'm running in mine, it's slightly larger than the XR276HR; 08-000-9 Grind #3315/3316, HR112+4, 230/236 Dur with 544/555 lift using my 1.6 RR's (Small base circle).
It is very much streetable and literally screams beyond 4500.
Here's my 383 (L-98 Roller):
Eagle ESP Balanced Rotating street/strip Kit
Eagle Cast Steel Crankshaft
5140 Steel SIR 6" rods
SRP -5cc pistons
Zero decked block yielding a 10.82cc ratio
Holley Stealth Ram with 52mm Throttle Body
AFR190's milled to 65cc (L-98 angle plug design)
SVO 24# injectors
700R4 with Vigilante 2800 stall and 3:70 gears
Hooker 2055 Headers to single 3" and Aero chamber muffler
The only other person who has driven it was the guy who installed my rear gears...his comment was... "thats scary"

Is the car a driver or a toy?
Does it see street duty or track?
Then pick your cam accordingly.
I'm running a Crane cam in my vortec 383 TPI that is only 216ish 221ish duaration(with 1.6 rr and right near .500 lift.(was built with low compression and for future forced induction)
Idles great drives great and still pulls hard no problem to 5k+.
Match the cam to the induction and how it will actually be driven.
I'd say 216-224 duration on the intake and roughly 224-230 on the exhaust should do u quite well. If primarily a street car err to the smaller side if more toy and track go larger.
I'm biased in cam selection because I used to put 300 miles a week on my cars to and from work. Makes me err to the smaller side fo things as slow speed driveability takes more importance rather than the last 10hp humanly possible.
