smell gas

when i start my TPI in the morning I smell gas after I start it but when i start it it wants to die but will fix it self out after a few seconds. anyone

I'm going to guess the coolant temp sensor. Its the one on the front of the manifold. Not sure if that the right name for that sensor though. It might be telling your computer its colder out than it is and its flooding the engine.

That's a possibility. A more likely possibility is that you have one or more injectors leaking fuel into the cylinders while the engine is not running. When you start it, this causes an EXTREMELY rich mixture which will clear up after a few seconds, when the excess fuel burns out.
