L98 Dissapoints!!
Since I couldnt race my buddies mustang tonight cause he had to work, so I decided to hit the interstate and see what kind of numbers I could get. Since this was the first time I was going on the interstate to really check out my performance I was a little excited. So I put the car in Drive and got on the 95. I was very dissapointed when I found my car was taching about 5K at about 90. 5K AT 90?? That isn't normal is it?? Any suggestions???

with 2.77's i tach 96.6 at 3500rpms in drive. i think with 3.27's you would be below 4000rpms if not around that.

Are you sure that you were in 3rd gear, not 2nd gear?
Are you sure that you tachometer works correctly?
If you are at 5,000 rpm in drive with 26" tall tires at 90 mph, then you rear gear ratio has to be around 4:1.
With 3.27's, your rpm's should be around 3800.

Take it to the track and make a few passes. What track is closer to you, NED or the one in Maine (I forget the name, sorry)?
