Converting to SD from MAF

I did a search and I'm still a bit concerned about the swap. I can wire it and will probably feel better if everything is in front of me, but I'm heading to the junkyard and I'm worried I'm going to forget certain necessary parts. Could someone tell me if I need anything besides:
730' ECM with a few inches of its wiring harness.
Knock Sensor
MAP sensor

You need a memcal for a SD car with a 5.0 and whatever transmission you have. You also need a 1/4" vacuum T fitting/hose, not to mention something for your CAI to replace the MAF sensor, and some wire to short the EST knock leads.

Oh ok, I think I get it. The 730 is a universal ECM, but the memcal is specific for the engne and tranny combo.

Yup, memcal is between the PROM and the rest of the ECM. It will include a good baseline PROM for you as well as limp home programming.

Another question- will I need to reprogram the memcal if it came from a 5.0L auto like my car is right now? I saw it'll need VSS and VATS changed, does everyone that do this swap have burning software?

It should work great if your car is stock. I dunno about VSS and VATS. I know that we plugged the VSS into the wrong socket at first and then change it. VATS is disabled on my car.

I'm just really confused because in the list of parts needed from that website it included a prom burner but I wasn't sure if that was to make it run or to custom tune your car. I just want to convert my car since the MAF died and I don't like having it in my air flow.

Well it doesn't sound like such a bad way to save a little money... We did have access to an ostrich when we did the conversion, but I don't believe it is necessary if you are converting a stock car. I'm not certain.

That's what I figured but I want to make sure before I invest some money and time in a bunch of parts.
