Thirdgen Prototype Intakes

I found this thread containing Jerrywho's modified lt1 protoype intake:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ype+and+intake

I ended up purchasing the prototype intake that is indeed GM in this post:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=292194

I will provide more pics once I get it cleaned up and a digi camera.

I find it hard to believe that these are the only things we know of that got tested on our thirdgens, whether it was for thirdgen applications or testing for future engines.

Supposedly the FIRSt Injections intake was a prototype GM used for the Firefox(think that is right).

Or the 92 Anniversary z28's that were supposed to have the huge looking plenum/runner combos only seen in pics(from gmhtp)/

Anyone else have something floating around from the thirdgen years that would be interesting to see or test?

Just another example, over on the Olds G-mail list, someone has a prototype TBI intake for Olds engine and is now running it.

Just trying to consolidate a lot of thirdgen engine development and history into one place. Almost nothing is truly know about the behind the scenes develpment was on the TPI cars. Quite remarkable when u think about how much is know about the development of the 3.8T from Buick.

Hmmmmm.

Hard to believe no one has something on any of this?

Didnt find a ton of info searching for stuff of this nature either, least something I would consider credible.

Well, that plenum with the wierd cuts looks like it may have been a factory prototype, but I don't see how it would help any with the stock runners bolted up on there. It could just be a ported stock plenum. I would however love to get my hands on the prototype SLP runenrs that they used on the prototype 25th Anniversary Z28s that had the ZF 6-speed tranny.

I'm already happy with my rare intake setup though...

And I don't mean the SLP runners either
