305 TPI Questions??
Hey whats up guys, i just had some questions concerning a 91 camaro z-28 with a 305 tpi engine. sorry moderators if this has been posted before and i didnt see it. First, did this car come with mass air or speed density? Second, what kind of rear end came in this car a posi or one wheel peel, and what gear? Third, and last, what CC chamber heads were on the 305? Thanks alot guys

1. speed density
2. look at the SPID sheet in your consile for the G80 or G92(a G92 car should have G80 by default) code I forget what code is for which gears but you can do a search for that. the codes i listed are for posi.
3. all 305 after about 1981 have 58cc chambers, I know the valves on the early 305s (1.72 intake vs 1.84intake) are smaller and i think the chambers are still 58cc but not positive.

thanks alot man, but i was wondering, i have a bad set of 305 heads i had on my 350 in my RS. They worked so good but it is carbed. Will it hurt the relaiability to put these heads on. They are fully ported, polished, bowl hogged, and tear dropped. they have manley race flo valves. I know i cant put a cam in but just wondering the limits to speed density? Thanks alot
Any time you change the VE of an engine, better flowing heads, more camshaft, induction, etc, you should really look into tuning the eprom for the best results. BTW, when you say "bad" you mean "good", right? I would put the bad heads on the shelf...LOL

Not in the DIY prom section. Selling, and burning for others is not allowed. Just be forewarned. My advice is read all the stickies if you are serious about it. Ask for a prom to be sold to you, and I guarentee you, the moderator will most likely lock the thread.
