SVO injectors & retainer clips
I read the post about using the stock clips. I've also done a search about guys not using them on the SVO injectors.
Do they just not fit the SVO's?
I'm installing my SVO's this week and I'd like to get this right the first time. Learn from others experience. It looks as though mine have the larger o-ring which I'll be swapping over to the GM sized o-rings.
Thanks

I would never run a rail without securing those injectors in place. That's 43+ PSI trying to push those suckers out at all times. I know that wasn't what you were asking, but if you were considering not running them
I just put some in without clips, no problems so far, but I'm leery of it.
The problem is that the clips don't fit and even if they did, I think the relationship of the injector to rail to intake manifold would not be correct with the clips.
I just split the difference between all the way up and all the way down and must have gotten it right the first time.
As I say though, no problems, but still concerned..
I also got a set of GM injector orings, the pretty blue ones. They seemed to fit a little tighter in the intake than the ones that came on the injector, but not much difference.

Yeah I was a bit leary of trying to run without them but during my search some were saying that they wouldn't fit and some said they would.
This is my only car and I plan on doing both a 6 speed swap (Aftermarket T56) and swap on my SuperRam. I had also planned to get my Accel 24# injectors out since they were a bit too small (by some sources I've talked to) and before they started messing up, if they haven't already.
Since it IS my only car, I couldn't really aford the down time of having to remove half of the SuperRam to pull the injectors, etc, etc.

I'm in the middle of changing mine out. I've got #24, I've checked several posts and other members said using the top slot with the stock clips is ok. The clips are going on real easy.
