URGENT!! What is this relay!?
Guys, on my 86 305 TPI camaro i got a relay down on the drivers side right by the evap canister. I picked it up and water came out of it. I unhooked it and more water came out. Any ideas??

No im sorry no dig camera or scanner on my computer. It is not a relay like the style of the fuel pump or maf relays. Its a smaller square shaped one. I traced the wiring and it looks as if it goes into the firewall so therefore somewhere into the cabin!?! It also has a fusible link tied into it a few inches from the relay itself.

As an after thought, the car does run without it hooked up cause i remember unhooking it when i first got the car. So weather or not the relay is working right, i dont know, but the car does run fine without it. Car is running like crap right now and im out messing with stuff.

Well, on my '89 IROC, only thing electrical by the evap is the purge solenoid on top of the cannsister and then behind it, the electrical connection to the washer motor...nothing else.
EVAP solenoid is squarish, but rectangular from side view, and washer is roundish and long.
HTH, but maybe someone else will chime in.

nah that's not, my purge solenoid is on top of my evap canister too. This is just a 12 volt smaller sized relay. Im wondering if it's some after market thing that went with the old crappy alarms system in the car when I got it?

The only '86 book I have is for the Firebird (should be the same) but it shows on a TPI car that the EVAP canister is on the passenger side and the only relay near it is the cooling fan relay.

Nope my canister is on the drivers side and the cooling fan relay is mounted on the passanger side right against the radiator support on the left hand side. I really think this might be a b.s. relay from something aftermarket. Im gonna remove the bottom dash panel and have a looky and see what exactly the wires go to.
