i have had excellant luck with 22lbs Ford SVO Pink injectors from Five O motorsports. They were 200 for the set of 8. I went this route so I didnt have to burn a new chip for the 24lbs injectors.

mods probably not required if going with 24# but lots of success stories using the Ford SVO injectors.

I'm using the 22# Bosch/Ford injectors I got from Five-O and I can't remember that my car has EVER run this good.

id you have to modify your fuel rail? i was thinking of replacing mine with some but i read a thread that summitt was claiming you had to modify the fuel rail. also, did you use your stock retaining clips?

didn't modify anything and am not using the injector clips

from what i've read, some say the clips work, some say they don't. when I checked the ford injectors vs. the gm injectors, the clip slot was much closer to the oring on the ford injectors. to me it looked like using the clips would have had the oring barely into the fuel rail

i would have thought that not using the clips would have caused a leak. i was curious because i am ordering new injectors monday and everybody talks highly of the svo injectors but have differing opinions as to mounting.

I just put them in the stock rail with no clips. No problems so far with a couple thousand on the motor.

did you modify anything or just replace. did you use the o-rings they came with or buy some actual gm replacements?

I think the ones that came on the injectors would have worked, but just to be sure I ordered a set of GM o-rings and used those. Didn't measure id/od, but the GM orings seemed to fit a little tighter in the fuel rails and manifold bosses.

I just replaced my 22lbs injectors with ford #24. I went to autozone and got some GM o-rings to be sure. I used the retaining clips on the top slot of the injectors, they do seem to wooble more than stock in the fuel rail, I cleaned the intake where the injectors go into, bolted them down, and for a week now no leaks. I also got a chip burned by tbichips off of E-bay for $120, I satisfied with with the chip, I feel a LITTLE more HP but not much.

thanks 91b2l,
my chip is already burned for 30lb injectors. all i'm doing is replacing my existing ones because one is going bad and the set may possibly be wrong. i can't find where Holley ever made a 30lb injector.

They do. I had a set in a 454 HO I had. Holley's are excellentb injectors, but a bit too high priced wen the SVO's are $200-300 new.

Used ford 24lb/hr injectors on my 350 tpi ( now stealthram), all I did was make a notch in the injectors so the the injector retaining clips would work ( these hold the injectors to the fuel rail). 0 rings worked fine and the stock fuel injector harness was the same. Just make sure you use a little engine oil on the 0 rings of the injectors to lube them or you can tear an 0 ring. I learned the hard way you don't have to drench them just a real light coating.

i guess the holleys have been good. but even with a prom burned for them, it still ran rich. if i had the money, i would get not only the new injectors, but a different size and get a chip burned for it. i thnk the 30lb ones might be too big for my motor. unfortunately, most of this was done before i found TGO. i have learned a lot since i found this place.

If you want smaller, I've got a couple of sets of LS1 28# injectors. Just realize tey flow 24# at our standard fuel pressure of 43PSI

ok, i just got the svo injectors installed. i had to use the retaining clips cuz i had a lot of fuel leaking. put the retaining clips on and no fuel leaks! it must be a case by case basis.
