Q about Power Adder Hitting 13's
As of now i have an 89 camaro. Stock 350 TPI with 3" headers back exhaust. Hooker 2055's into a strait pipe into Hooker Comp Catback. Stockairbox with ram air upgrade.
Will 3.73's get me there?
any advice is helpful. try not to flame.
Thanks

Nope they wiill take you a little further out of your powerband or so Iv'e learned. They wouldn't help unless you have 2.73's or something

well, with my 3.27 in my nine bolt i cross the line at about 4600
rpm. i will probably in the future switch to a 3.45 or so to pull me through the traps at say 51-5200 rpm. my tpi is modded so will pull just a hair longer than stock set-up.

what about a power adder? ur adding jsut gears not a power adder
my 3.27's pull me thru the line at around 4200rpms....
3rd gear to 4800rpms or so takes me to 110-115 mph
i would say, under a perfect launch which can be done, on decent street tires, u can cut a bottom 1.9 60 foot and hit a high 13
else ur gonna need a torque converter and maybe some bolt ons.
or the right suspension mods will also help... i think my 1.8's on street tires are pretty much due to the shocks/springs
if u put in some adjustable shocks and drag springs, u can launch very hard off the line and get 13's
