New to the board 85 T/A with Paxton
Hey all,
My name is rick and i just recently came across a T/A that i could not live with until i had it in my garage. I was turned on to this site by a buddy on my truck board nodvak, so thanks to him to giving me a site with a lot of useful info. So I am totally new to the muscle car scene and would appreciate any advice anyone can share with me. Below is a write up of what "the dealer" wrote about my car having. Enjoy!
Rick
1985 Pontiac Trans Am 350 Cubic Inch Super Charged engine delivering 475 Horse power through a Bullet proof TH400 Transmission. MSD Ignition, 350 LSI Paxton Super Charger shift gauge, 3 inch exhaust with flow master mufflers, fiberglass hood, T-Tops, Rear spoiler, 16" Billet specialty wheels with 4 wheel disc brakes, and a new engine with less than 4,000 miles on it.
This set up seems to run flawlessly so far
as i drove it 4 hours for NJ to VA before putting her up for the week
mainly i will bring the lady out on weekends depending on the weather and take her to the track in MD once in a while. The only thing i notice so far is that the switch from first to second at cruzing speeds is nothing less than a jerk...and i assume that is from the TH400 tranny? like i said before any info. is much appreciated.

I would think LSI is the part number or series for the Paxton blower. The LS1 is a GEN 3 General Motors engine.

so how much do you really know about Paxton superchargers? if you think an lsi is a type of paxton you need to read up a bit http://www.paxtonauto.com/history.html omg... that blower is probadly is a SN 89 or a SN 92.
it kinda sux when dealer misleads buyers but over all i really like the car, i even have it for me screansaver.
