Finally got around to hiding and splicing all of the wires. Just ordered some cool bowtie spark plug wire loom for my valve covers. Can't wait to get it. Hopefully she'll start up friday when I get my fuel rail AN fitting from holley.

For those that do not know, the car origionally was equiped with a 305 TBI. It's now 350 with a SR runned by a 165 computer. What do ya think so far?

Put the hood on today. I'm having some clearance issues between the underhood support and the tpi intake ducting(2into1 piece). So the hood kinda crushes it and slightly bends upon closing. Anyone else have an issue like this? Looking for a quick fix because come next fall, thats gonna be functional ram air.

Firing her up depends upon the stupid fuel barb fitting arriving in my mailbox from Holley. Since I dont have a y pipe yet, gonna make by dad drive with me (NYPD cop) so I dont get pulled over for being to loud.

Engine looks awesome!! I do have a question though I am doing the same thing (HSR) to an 86 Camaro and I was wondering what part number you upper radiator hose is. I am having some difficulties finding one that fits. Thanks for your help.

I used a '92 305 TBI hose. Fit perfect. Just remember the tpi water necks are different.

i also have a similar set up, just wanted to ask a few questions about the swap. first did you use factory vortec intake gaskets or the fel-pro 1255. the fel pro's look pretty thick. secondly the car is a factory 5.0L 5-speed what can I expect with factory chip in regards to the 5.7 vortec swap. just waiting on my fuel rails and I will be doing some wrenchin. thanx for any info

Vortec swap

Stealthrocz, your probably wanting dirtbik3r input, but let me tell you what I did. I used the "factory" fel-pro gaskets, in my opinion the 1255's are too thick and as far as your chip goes, was your 5.0L the TPI or TBI and what size injectors are you planning on running, the inj size is gonna be your biggest hurdle if everything else is the same.

the car is tpi and if it dont run right after my swap looks like i will have to buy new one commander 950 or the painless ecm . i am pretty sure my injectors are 19's and will try to upgrade in the near future. thanx for the info
