I dont run any accell ignition products as I think they are junk.
I have had issues with their plugs, wires, caps ans rotors.
They never lasted compared to something like MSD wires, Delco plugs and the blue/copper terminal blue streak caps.
This is my opinion.
U may or may not have a wire fully seated and it could cause a partial or intermittent miss. Plug loosen up on ya? It does happen especially if u dont tighten them emough in the first place.
Make sure you have the firing order right?

If you end up replacing the wires, use dialectric grease on both ends, and, I always use MSDs self vulcanizing tape on both ends, where the boots and wire meets. Just some cheap assurance against voltage leaks.
3.8TransAM - I fully agree. I went through 3 sets of 8.8's in 3 weeks trying to get a set that worked. This was back and forth w/ Jegs. Stumble, cross-fire, miss-fire...etc. I'll never run anything of theirs again. - A buddy of mine bought a set of their factory fit wires for his 96 truck. Pre-built, factory crimped ends and he had 2 dead cylinders. He went back to regular old Delco's and he once again had a V8.
JUNK! MSD all the way.

Now, I have always used Accel 8.8 wires, and have had good luck with them. Except for an occasional header burn, no real issues. I always use the universal set. Never tried the custom set. Maybe when you buy them assembled, there are issues. Not saying thats right, or anything, they should ALL work.

i have always used Accel 8.8 wires, never had an issue with them, the only thing i see as an issue is that the pre-made kits always seem to be a tad bit short in length
i also like MSD's wires, they are nice too
I'll never but Taylor again, I have used a few of them and so have some friends, and they have been nothing but crap, bad quality, pulled apart easily, arching, etc..

i always liked moroso blue max wires... 50 bucks for a set and never had a problem and they look good. Right now i have regular accel wires on my camaro and i noticed a little bit of misfire but at this point it could be anything...

My MSD wires are still on the car from two plug changes now, but my Accels were dead after before the next change.
I know, I know, change the plug wires. I'm working on it.

I run MSD, pretty expensive, but they are quality imo.

Not to get off topic...but...
NHRA, top fuelers use MSD 8.5s. I wonder why would anyone put anything larger on their ride?
