85-86 have the two middle intake bolt holes (that bolt to the heads) at the same angle as the outer ones.

87-89 have different intake bolt holes for the two middle ones on either side.

90-92 are the same as 87-89 except there is a MAP sensor bolted to the manifold.

And I dont remember which earlier manifolds had the 9th cold start injector equipped.

My '87 has a ninth injector so 8upAford's reply sounds right.

Axle/Gears: 3.23? I'm not sure
I did a search and it found this thread. I'm pretty sure my engine came out of an 88 because It has serpentine and my car is an 87, but it still has a Cold Start Injector. Any other ways to verify its deffinatly an 88? 89 Didnt have cold start, and 87 didnt have Serpentine. SO I think i narrowed it down to 88, but wanna double check

Just don't buy TPI motor 89 and older. Find one newer. Nothing wrong with a 9th they just get in the way when trying to mod up your intake or if you need to replace it. if you have a choice DONT GET ONE with a9th.

good luck.
