hesitation sucks please help!
ive been dealing with hesitation and lack of power for some time now, im very determined to fix it now that my friends jeep took me like i was nothing because i hit the gas and it bogged and hesitated then struggled to accelerate lol.
My Car:
1989 Pontiac Firebird
305 TPI Auto 2.73 rear.
so far ive given it a tune up to no help, checked resistance on injectors(all sit at 17 ohms) and checked fuel pressure at idle (43ish lbs i think). the strange thing is this only happens once the car heats up, when its cold ill have a bunch of power and its fun to drive. once the car gets up to around 160+ i have hesitation and bogging when i give it 1/2 or more throttle, if i give it less than that it pulls but once i push it more than that, the car doesnt like to go. im not too sure what else to check and have limited means to solve the problem(being 17 doesnt help lol). any advice at all would be awesome, thanks for the help guys!

do you have any codes?
try checking the TPS (while the motor is warm) to see if it is working right?

Also tape a fuel preasure guage to the window( from the fuel rail ..sharader valve) and drive around , see what the preasure is at while the problem happens .

ok this is odd, today i went to try to check fuel pressure, and i took the cap that looks like one off a bicycle off, and i couldnt get a reading on the gauge. infact when i took the gauge off i couldnt feel any pressure coming out of the nipple there. am i doing something wrong?

ignition module... when it gets some heat on it... it will start to do that.... you can have it tested at O'Reilly auto parts or any parts store....

well at idle, out of gear is like 1k-1.2k depending on temp of car, in gear its like 600ish, when it cruises 1-1.5k depending on gear/speed, if im doing 60 its around 1.4-1.5k. idle is always steady, just about never stalls.
now that i think about it, it might be the ignition module. when the cars cold(sit overnight) i put the key in and turn it to start and it starts to turn over immediatly. if i do the same after it warms up and i go to start it, theres a 1-2 second lag before it starts to turn over. not sure if this is relivant but i figured id mention it. i hope its not the module though, its fairly new (2k miles old) any other possibilities guys?
