okay, the car starts fine and idles fine but as soon as i touch the gas pedal it tries to shut off. i jumped the a-b pins and the engine light flashes once then off repeatedly? what is wrong?

Axle/Gears: the ones that turn
it should flash 1x (pause) then 2xs that =code 12, should flash this code 3xs then it will flash any other codes in the same manner.
check fuel pressure, ohm the injectors.....mine did the same thing and it was the fuel pump.

I meant the distributor module, but I see that you figured it out already. On mine, if it idled, but killed under power, it was the module. If it wouldn't fire at all, it was the pickup coil.

The fast flashing I think is saying it's in open loop, if the engine is running and the a-b is jumpered.
Is it possible to slowly push the throttle and have not die?
If it dies only when the throttle is opened somewhat quickly, I'd say it's the TPS gone bad. If it simply won't rev at all, then it's likely not the TPS.
Check your fuel pressure, see if it's up to the task. And if you have a timing light, connect it and see if spark cuts out during the problem. That's one of my favorite tools.
