cam worth doing without headers?

cam worth doing without headers?

I have been tossing aroung putting a crane powermax 2032 cam in my l-98. I dont know if it is really worth it until i get headers (which wont be for a while). any ideas?

what cam is it.. lift duration.. roller, flat tappet, hydraulic solid?

Well any cam will deliver performance. Although it may be restricted now, everything else you do youll feel a big difference. I.e. huge runners, exhaust

I would say it's more of a waste to ont get a cam without haveing a set of heads that work with the cam .

Axle/Gears: 9-Bolt 3.45
I have the 2032, it's a very nice cam, and it will work just fine with your stock heads & manifold setup. It's much better than the stock cam.

Better flowing heads will complement it, as will a better flowing exhaust system. Eventally you will want to install all of the above.
