Getting new runners. Few questions

I will be making a order soon for some more mods and had a question about runners. Since I already have the edelbrock base will i benifit from larger runners like AS&M runners over edelbrocks high flow runners if I dont plan on doing any porting. Thank for the help.

Yes, you'll benefit from the runners with your heads and cam. Look favorably at the AS&M/TPIS ones over the Edelbrocks.

I like the stock look of the AS&M over edelbrock but if the gains are going to be simular between both I might end up going with the cheaper edelbrocks.

Take a look at the dyno graphs in this article to get an idea how the different runners compare. I went with AS&M myself. The Edelbrocks will be great if you extrude hone them but out of the box they're not as good as the extruded AL runners (AS&M, TPIS).

If you don't want to do any porting I'd go with TPIS or AS&M Runners. I went with Edelbrock runners because I found a new set for $235. I ported them and partially siameesed them. I have a StealthRam now, but I have to go back to a LTR setup to pass smog. So I'll lose hp but gain torque. I'm kind of looking forward not having to rev my engine to 6k rpm.

You should check out the thread in the Group Purchase section about AS&M's customer service. I believe TPIS has them in stock I'd go with them unless you want to wait forever.

Thanks for the help guys I believe ill be going with the AS&M. Ill see if I can get them through fasttoys performance. I plan on making another order through summit and getting an afpr, sub frame connecters, strut tower brace, 2nd gear servo, still undecided about a tq arm. Plus i need to get it tuned its not running near as fast as it should be.

Somebody just dropped out of the group purchase for the AS&M runners through fasttoys. You should be able to take that person's spot for $350. BUT it's an extremely slow build on AS&M's end. Be prepared to wait. If interested, shoot fasttoys a call and check out the thread in group purchases.

There's still 9 people or so that have been waiting since mid-September, so you may want to take that into consideration....
