PCMForLess Re-Tune, Help Me...

My car was tuned nearly 6 months ago but since then I've installed new RR's, cam, valvetrain, exhaust, etc. Some of the questions from when I first tuned it threw me for a loop, but I want it done 100% accurate this time. You can see a majority of my mods in my sig, but ask any questions to help me out. Thanks.

Here are the things that I'm not 100% sure about and their options on PCMForLee's order sheet... what should I choose?

Answer: You have a 700R4, the computer only controls the lockup from the tranny. Nothing else. Most people set the lockup to 45 mph.

Throttle Body Injection
- Yes
- No

Answer: No, you have Tuned Port fuel injection even with the HSR.
MAF Type
- Vehicle Not Originally Equipped
- Stock
- Aftermarket
- (Other Car Specific Options, Like 'vette, impala, etc)

Answer: With a 1991 car, you have Speed Density, no MAF.

MAF Ported
- Stock
- Ported MAF
- N/A

Answer: No MAF

MAF Descreened
- No/Stock
- Yes

Answer: Same as above....No MAF.

Vehicle Anti Theft VATS
- Leave As Is
- Remove

Answer: VATS is something that if your car didn't come with it, you need to delete it or it won't start. Most just delete it anyway.

All Of The Trouble Codes
- All Have Option Of 'Leave As Is' Or 'Remove'

Answer: If you are not setting anycodes, you are fine but if you are, look them up and get them taken care of.

Duration @ .050 (I Have LT4 Hot Cam, LT4 Springs, Stock Lifters, 1.5RR's)
- What's My Intake?
- What's My Exhaust?

Answer: LT4 HotCam is a 218/228 .050

Lift(Max Valve)
- What's My Intake?
- What's My Exhaust?
- My Lobe Seperation Angle Is 112, right?

Answer: Yes, 112 lsa and lift for both using 1.5 RR is .498.

Head Information including Flow Rate
- I never did know this one, I just said 'Stock L98 Iron Heads' last time..

L98 flow numbers:
120/100 @.200
163/129 @.300
189/148 @.400
199/164 @.500

Awesome, exactly what I was needing. Haha, I have absolutely no clue why I said something about the MAF, duhh... I remember wondering about that the first time I tuned, but just had a brain fart, forgot about the speed density. Thanks for reminding me .

So can PCMForLess tune the lockup? So 45mph sounds like a good range to set the lockup to?

Yea, you can tune for the lockup for the tranny. Stock is like 40-42 and most just go to 45 with it.....some do 50....personal perference.

I've heard great things about them but for $200 or however much it is, you can get the Ostrich for $175(realtime tunable), a wideband, and ALDL stuff for under $350 and tune it yourself. However, some of the numbers I have seen from TPI and LT1 cars are impressive....about 20hp gain for the most part.

I'm trying to determine what I want.. For a street/strip car I'm not sure what's ideal. Some say lock right at peak torque RPM, some say lock after xx mph..

Whats your reasons for 45?

My reason for 50 is that its a nice rpm to lockup. I'll be driving in 4th gear and at 49 mph, I am pulling 1600 rpms with 3.73s and 29" tire and its a good rpm in my opinion to lock it up and puts the rpms at 1400 rather than 1000 or 1100 where it used to be. Doesn't seem to struggle.
