On a side note...how much power will a stock 700r4 hold?

my 300hp 305 munched my 700R4 up after about 1 summer of use. I had a vigilante converter and Trans Go shift kit too. The trans worked great, but after a while couldn't hold 1st gear and started slipping. I pulled it out before I damaged it severely. It is now sitting on the shelf.
