removing emission stuff for offroad racing. will it affect the computer.
I am also currently in the works of removing my ac setup and all the emisson stuff. for off-road racing
will this affect the computer, I do have a custom chip. so I can get it reflashed if i need to. Basically will I run into a bunch of trouble with drivability, and is there any help sites on sugestions on what to do when I remove this stuff. EX: do i remove the canister or just leave it in. What is a good idea to remove and what should I leave alone. thanks guys. I have a 89 TPI camaro 305

I removed my air system with no problems. My ac was removed when I got the car. These things and the cat are all I would take off because nothing else is wort while.

Will removing the A.I.R system and all other emissions affect the idle or performance of the engine or will it help its performance. I have heard both

If its properly functioning it shouldn't change your performance for better or worse.
I removed the AIR system solely because it removes clutter (easier to work on the engine) and headers with the AIR system cost more.
Charcoal canister doesn't affect performance.
A stock cat can be removed for a minimal improvement in flow- but don't bother unless you're upgrading all of your exhaust.

Can the car still pass an emissions test with all of the emissions off of it?
