What or who makes this...?
So i pulled off the plenum today to install a BBK AFPR...and i found this:

Now to my knowledge a stock regulator did not have a bolt in the top correct so it could not be adjusted. Well this one does have a bolt in the top so im guessing its adjustable? Any idea who makes this, there are no markings of any sort. Im thinking its a TPiS AFPR as it looks similar to what they show on there site.
Thanks
-Steve

Well im not gonna put on something i dont need. Adjustable is adjustable. Ive already been tinkering with the one on there and watching the fuel pressure go up on the gauge.
I do have a question for you guys, how do you possibly adjust fuel pressure when you can hardly fit an allen wrench in there when the plenum is on?

Maybe if you cut off part of the short end of the allen key, it will be alot easier to adjust the fuel pressure.

thats why u should put in the BBK, i would put it in just bc it looks better haha jk. actually the BBK one doesnt use an allen it used a hex bolt and would allow easier adjustment of the screw wit the plenum on. ur gona have fun with the allen i'll tell u that...

...or maybe go to the hardware store and get a short bolt to replace the Allen screw. That way you can get an open end wrench in there to adjust it.

Re: What or who makes this...?
Haha already done guys. I trimmed the short side of the allen wrench tonight ill have to try it out on the car tommaro.
With the key on, it shoots up to 38-39 and slowly drops down. Gets down to about 10psi in a little over 5 minutes or so. At idle my gauge is telling me its at 36-37psi. If i rev it i think it hits like 46 or so. The gauge kinda fluctuates 1-2psi so its not steady enough to get a completely accurate reading. Is this normal? I test drove the car and it likes more fuel, doesnt exactly feel quicker but feels "smoother". Seems to idle a little better too.
I had datalogged my car a few days ago and it had been running lean.
Do you guys have any idea who makes this FPR?

Re: What or who makes this...?
hmm doesnt sound good, ur testing the fuel pressure with a gauge? where is the gauge in the car or on the fuel rail. are u setting it with the vacume line disconnected? also it should read 43psi stock but bump it to 50psi and it should stay pretty level, i used an accel gauge on the fuel rail and it was steady. if it drops down it sounds like ur fuel pump is going or shot, it should be able to maintain fuel pressure.

Using a gauge on the rail. I left the vacuum connected.
How long should it maintain fuel pressure with it pressurized and the key removed?
Car runs fine and all just curious though.

Re: What or who makes this...?
the pressure should stay pretty close bc when the key is turned on it builds and when u turn it off i dont believe it releases the pressure for a few min, thats why when u turn the key on and off and u keep turning the key on the pump wont turn on for a couple min untill the pressure bleeds off, dont kno the exact time, and u need to set it with the vacume line disconnected, there is a big diff in pressure

Also, I'm one of the people that's modified the stock FPR to be adjustable, & it's worked great for me for years. (Just don't see the point of spending money on something you can do for free.) My vbGarage has a link to how it's done, if anyone's curious...
