How can i tell if the car has a 350 engine in it? the guy i bought it from said that the guy before threw in a 350 but i didnt really care wether it was a 305 or a 350, so what is the easiest way to figure it out?

Check the casting numbers on the block.

Back of the block, located at a the corner where the
transmission bell housing attaches to the block.. it'll be
on the passenger or driver side.. I cant remember

Get that flashlight out

so heres what i found, dont know if they tell you anything but on the side of the block itself we found 627, and near the bell houseing we found 55in with the number 25 under it...does that mean anything? or am i just looking in the wrong place?

The 627 means that the full casting number is probably 14093627, which is an 87-up roller 305 block.
