Schrader valve question
I am hooking up an Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge and wondered if I should gut the schrader valve and use a 4AN to 1/8"npt adapter to connect the gauge or remove the schrader valve altogether.
Also, take a look at the picture I have attached...do you think I could tap in here to get vacuum/boost?
Thanks!!

Re: Schrader valve question
Hey, how did you hook up your fuel pressure gauge? I am thinking I need an adapter from the Autometer sending unit, which is 1/8" npt and then gut the Schrader valve, whcih is 4AN..... or maybe the the Schrader valve comes out?
PS - I want some pics of your install!!

Re: Schrader valve question
If it's just a matter of untwisting the old schrader valve, and installing the one that came with the kit, just swap it. That's just me though. I am a firm believer on using what the part was designed for. You could do that quicker then it takes to open this sites homepage...
Nice IROC BTW.

Re: Schrader valve question
I used a valve stem tool and removed the inner core of the schrader valve and then tapped into the schrader valve... worked good on two cars...
I used the same fitting for boost too...
