Does anyone know if the Accel 58mm tb will work on all years?
85-92....I read somewhere that the Accel piece will work on all years by changing the throttle bracket. I have a chance to buy one for a good price The tb is from an 88 model my car is a 90. will it work? Im going to give Tim at LPE a call when they open. Just wondered if anybody knows.
Thanks,
Mike

I dont know for sure, but I do know the years are 85-88, and 89-92. Judging from that I'd say it wouldnt work. I dunno how difficult it is to change the throttle bracket.

To add to this, you will have to change the THROTTLE CABLE since they are different. I bought a like new 89-92 58MM ACCELL for $300 that I use on my car, and I also use an 89-92 TPI throttle cable. HTH's

Hey Mike, back when I had the 2004r in my car, I used the TV cable from a 90-92 tpi with 700r4. I think that the TV cables are the same, all the T.B. have the same TV cable hook-up connection. The 85-88 and 89-92 TPI throttle cables also hook-up the the GAS PEDAL the same way, the ONLY difference is the end that differs from 85-88 to 89-92 TPI. So, you should be fine once you get the correct cable for the particular T.B. No problems on the WALBRO PUMP info, glad to help a fellow car guy. SS-ya
