L98 ?'s

Does anyone know the safe maximum overbore on the L98 blocks,I have had several old style block bored .060 but I don't know about the L98's.
Also are the factory pistons cast or hyper?

Well I believe that the blocks are the same except for the roller lifter bosses having a flat side, the stock pistons are hyper u whatever.
So what does that huge signature run in the 1/4?

An L98 block is no different - other than roller lifters - than any other stock block. Always a good idea to have the cylinder walls sonic tested before you go .060 over. Its cheap insurance, especially in a performance application.

I made 1 pass & ran a 12.31,2nd pass the trans took a crap.I ordered a stage 3 kit from Pro Built,will try to shave some more time off next spring.

SLP 218/224 duration,.495/.502 lift(with 1.5 rockers),114 LSA.I am using 1.6 rockers.
